The following pictures were supplied to me by a descendent of Major Arthur Hughes-Onslow, who served with the Regiment from September 1882, for twenty years and 249 days until the 14th January 1903. I have tried on several occasions to renew this contact in order to be granted permission to include these wonderful pictures on this website, but unsuccessfully.
I feel confident that Major Hughes-Onslow’s family will be please for the photographs to be available to view on my tiny piece of the web, but please be assured that I will react immediately should there be any objection from his family.
Major-Hughes-Onslow, who was a renowned horseman, sadly shot himself on board the SS City of Edinburgh whilst travelling to Le Havre, on the 17th August 1914, having rejoined as a Re-mount Officer.
Sorry, nothing found.
